Betty and Nancy, thank you for taking such great care of my mother. It was an honor to work with such kind and competent people, and Mom and I both enjoyed your companionship. Mom and I enjoyed reading together; so, Betty, thank you for lending us The Four Winds. It provided us with an activity we could share in...and a chance to delve into a great story! Nancy, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experience. That was so valuable, especially during that last, difficult week.

As patients of Anita’s Angels for quite a while, we have been happy not only with their superior service, but also with their kindness and caring. We now have found another reason to appreciate them even more. At a recent nurse’s visit a heart problem was discovered that we had no idea existed. All is working out fine due to the early detection by the nurse. Now we understand and really appreciate the importance of these visits and will never, ever, grunt and groan again, lol. Thank you guys!!! AndreaC.

I want to thank you and Anitas Angels for all you did for my mom Alice Everitt. When mom got sick and was in the hospital we knew she was going to need help when she came home. I had no idea the care she would require when we brought her home. Once we contacted Anitas Angels we knew we were going to be alright. Victoria was sent to us and for the first 2 weeks it was a challenge for all of us as mom was weak and confused and needed lots of care. This is when my family and I helped out as much as possible to assist Victoria with mom’s care. Victoria took a short leave and Felicia was sent to care for mom. We were so fortunate for this, as she was what mom needed at this time. Mom was stronger and able to do little things for herself. Felicia realized this and gave mom many opportunities to assist. Mom started walking with Felicia and the physical therapist. What a joy this was for all of us to see .. We were very fortunate and thankful for Felicia being able to continue to be mom’s caregiver. Felicia kept us updated daily on mom’s progress. She was thoughtful and sent us pictures and videos of mom helping to make dinner, watering her flowers, unloading the dishwasher, and folding laundry. These were the little things that meant a lot to all of us as we felt mom was in good hands by the smile on her face. We knew Felicia was the right person to be caring for mom as they had a special bond and Felicia was understanding of mom’s needs and her abilities. She was caring and very patient with mom and all of us, as mom’s confusion started to increase and Dimentia was evident to all of us. This was hard for us to see mom like this at times now knowing where she was and who we were. Felicia was always there for mom being patient and kind. To us she was a great friend and part of our family. She was very caring to all of us as mom started to decline and we knew mom’s time was coming and Felicia was supportive to us. It has been three months since my mom passed and Felicia continues to reach out to me to see how things are going and this has helped me immensely as we talk about mom and share stories of my mom. Felicia is the Angel my mom and family needed. Thank you again for all Anitas Angels did for my mom and my family. Sincerely, Pat Kurylo

Dear Staff’ at Anita’s Angels,
I would like to take this opportunity to let you know how much we appreciate your company, staff and especially Felicia McGrath for taking care of our mother, Alice Everitt. She lived a wonderful life and like so many elderly people, our family needed help with caring for her at the end of her life.
We are grateful to Felicia for the time and care she gave Alice. It was the right person for us and Alice’s loved her so much!
We were somewhat lost when Felicia arrived as to the different “tools” that we needed (side rails for the bed, bed alarm, etc.), but with her training and help, we were able to get the items we needed to help her. But, it was Felicia’s tremendous ability to care for Alice that really will leave us of good memories at the end.
Elderly care is truly a gift that Felicia has and we felt that all during the time she spent with us. We will miss our mother always, but knowing that Felicia was there to help her out (and us) will always be a blessing to our family.
Thank you so much to your staff for all that you do.

On behalf of all of Janet‘s friends and family, I‘d like to thank you and your staff for your kindnesses and compassion during the last months of Janet‘s life.
She was never an easy patient, that is for certain, but everyone on your side handled her with great care. It has not gone unnoticed and it is greatly appreciated.

You probably have no idea of how much your Monday morning caring for Marty time meant to me. I always felt that you were caring for both of us because you were so aware of both of our needs. I hope I can be there for you in some small way.

I want to thank all of the wonderful people at Anita’s Angels for the comfort and care that they gave to my husband in his last months. And the support that was given to me. Carmela, Lois, Martha, and Colette came into our lives and their loving care and concern made the entire process of his decline an easier journey. Thank you.

It has been a great run with you guys and I thank you for taking such good care of June and her husband Richard. I think we had your service for over 10 years. I’ve enjoyed working with you and all of the different personality caretakers over the years. Tom has been exceptional as well, always making sure I was happy and the client was happy. I know we were not easy at times, but you guys always came up with the perfect solution. And thank you for always sending me the invoices on time and allowing me to sometimes be late with payment 🙂 If Anita’s Angels ever needs a good reference I am here. Also, I will always recommend your agency whenever I see an elderly person who may be a good fit for help at home.
Thanks again.

There is no shortage of words that come to mind when I think of Harriet – compassionate, kind, heartfelt, engaging, reliable, genuine….
Yet none of them truly capture what Harriet has meant to Mom and me. At a time when I was overwhelmed and feeling quite lost about finding a companion for Mom, in came Harriet! From the minute she crossed our threshold, she instantly brought a sense of calm, joy and comfort to our home. She made Mom feel comfortable and treated her as her buddy, not someone who was here to be a “mommy-minder”. She’s engaged with Mom and makes sure that their time is not spent just staring at the TV. There’s not a false My mom does not get anxious or nervous when I am going out if she knows Harriet is coming. She looks forward to seeing her and will ask for her if there are weeks in between visits. Harriet is truly a 2-for-1 because my sense of relief and stress level is so much better when she’s here. And while I only ask is that Harriet look out for Mom, Harriet always takes a few minutes to do something/anything to make my life easier. She’ll turn on the dishwasher, take out the trash. The first time I came home, and the dishwasher had been run & emptied I practically cried. As the primary/only caregiver when someone does anything to help – its EPIC! Without question, I would be lost without Harriet. She is an incredible asset to Anita’s Angels…..and we can’t imagine life without her.

My mother’s face would light up when Betty Bolin would come to care for her. Ginny was 97 and during her initial months of care with Betty she was able to put puzzles together with Betty and read. Betty is compassionate, joyful and cares greatly for her patients. As Ginny’s dementia became more challenging, Betty continued to engage Ginny by playing music and reading to her.
Betty was truly an angel to Ginny and embraced Ginny like her own mother. When Ginny returned from the hospital, Betty was there to help transition Ginny to a live-in aide. We could not have gone through this difficult time without Betty and were blessed with her gifts as a caregiver. We are thankful for her caring support when our family needed it the most.
Thank you Betty!

My parents have been using Anita’s Angels for several years. They want to continue to stay in their home but need support in a number of areas for this to be possible. The office staff and care providers have always been compassionate and professional in providing the daily help they have needed. We appreciate all the outstanding care this entire team has provided.

When we choose to care for a parent at home, there reaches a point when 7×24 care is necessary. We had been using Anita’s Angels for part-time care and they provided the best 7×24 aid possible. Felistus was energetic, joyful, compassionate and highly experienced with terminally ill patients. She fit right into our family life and gave my mother, Ginny, the best care possible. We worked well as a team giving each other breaks and combining efforts when Ginny needed extra care.

Sarah has been so wonderful, kind and helpful to us in so many ways. Her Spanish lessons have helped Ken to improve his memory of Spanish. She also is a marvelous cook and prepared many delicious dinners for us. She always looks for a need and goes out of her way to make things better. Thanks for sending her to us – she’s really an angel and we love her.

You certainly know how to choose Angels! Betty, Maria, Linda, Michelle and Sarah came to us at a time when we were in great need of support and they couldn’t have been better in so many ways. Each used their own special talents to fill our needs. They helped with everything, always providing needed support with great care, communication skills and advice. Maria and Sarah especially touched Ken, helping him to relearn his college Spanish and enabled him to utilize his mind. With much appreciation to all for their care and friendship. I’ll never forget them.

We would like to thank you all for your efforts and kindness in taking care of Jean. It was a great relief to our family knowing that she was in good hands. She was one of a kind. I’m sure many of you have walked away carrying an interesting story about Jean! Thanks again.

Many thanks to Tom, Peggy and especially Kwabena for helping my dad on a few hours-notice. You really came through for my dad and made it possible for me to take a breath again. I would not hesitate to use your agency again. I would also like to say that Kwabena (or Mr. K as we called him) has a beautiful spirit and calming effect on the patient.

My 81 year old father has lived with our family since the death of my mother in 1994. In October, 2006, he fell and broke his kneecap and badly injured his ribs. Despite my husband and me working full time and raising three children, we tried to care for my dad ourselves. It was very stressful and after the first week we realized that we needed some type of outside help, but we were unsure where to turn. Anita’s Angels was recommended to us. We called and immediately had an interview set up with Tom Bay, the owner. Tom was very professional, thorough, and quite understanding as to what our needs were. We have lived in Raritan Township for 18 years. It seemed every time we mentioned Anita’s Angels and the Bay’s he was highly thought of and recommended. Whether it was our church, neighbors, our daughter’s friend’s parents, or our local pharmacists, Tom was well known and everyone spoke of him with high regard. We primarily had three different “Angels”, Betty, Kate, and Anne. Our schedule changed from week to week and they were very accommodating with our needs. My father was extremely comfortable with all three women. They did everything that we asked them from preparing my dad’s meals, helping him maneuver with his walker and leg splint, housework, driving him to physical therapy, and even walking our dog, Jackie! My dad has always followed a daily routine. He is an avid reader and sets aside time each day to say his prayers. The “Angels” were very aware of when he needed his private time. He truly enjoyed their company. Anita’s Angels allowed my husband and I to continue working and have peace of mind that my dad was being well cared for. It also allowed us to come home and not have to worry about dishes, laundry, vacuuming, etc. We were able to get back to our normal regular lifestyle (if there is such a thing with three teenagers)! But the most important part was that my dad was comfortable and always spoke of the enjoyable days he had with Betty, Kate, and Anne. My dad is almost fully recovered and we thank Anita’s Angels in part for his recovery. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, don’t hesitate to call the office staff at Anita’s Angels. They were exactly what we needed during our “time of need

When my widowed father-in-law was suddenly hospitalized at age 81 and then moved to a rehabilitation center for several weeks, we looked to Anita’s Angels for his transitional care. We wanted him to return to the comfort and familiar setting of his own home as he wished, but knew we couldn’t provide the level of caregiving that he needed. We found Anita’s Angels to be immediately responsive to our needs in a very professional manner. The staff is caring, warm, and dedicated to senior caregiving in a manner which allowed us to feel very comfortable. They were able to work with us to establish a flexible schedule as needed and the level of personal care was excellent. The progress my father-in-law made during his recovery can be directly attributed to Anita’s Angels.

We were so pleased with Anita’s Angels. The angels you sent us – Kate and Betty – were just great people. Both were compassionate, professional and very personable. Their gentle and understanding patience with our mother was highly valued. The thoughtful design of your caregiving is notable. Of the various services and agencies we have come into contact with over the years, Anita’s Angels was the only one to ask us about Mother as an individual – her life and experiences, hobbies and interests, her enthusiasms. That personal touch goes a long way toward developing a rapport between caregiver and care-recipient. Thank you for creating such a valuable service as Anita’s Angels. I have no doubt that Anita herself is looking down on you all and just beaming with approval and pride. With sincere thanks and gratitude,
Connie and Devon
I would like to take a moment to express my appreciation to you, your Care Givers, and staff. Thanks to your entire team both my Mother and Father were able to remain living at home with me and receive the needed care for as long as possible. As you are aware, my parents required their own specialized care specific to their medical needs. Your team of Care Givers attended to these needs in a friendly and professional way. Having caring people coming into our home that I was able to trust with the care of my parents was a priceless feeling. Knowing they were in good hands also allowed me to have some free time. Thanks to the Anita’s Angels team my Mother and Father always had caring persons at their side. It’s a blessing to have one’s parents with them for many years. Having people from your team helps keep those blessings going for as long as possible. If anybody was to ask me about in-home care, I would not hesitate to let them know about Anita’s Angels. Again, my sincere thanks to you and your whole team for the wonderful services provided to my parents.

Well, I don’t know what we would have done without you. When Mother had her first terrible stroke and had to go to Rolling Hills for rehab, we had no idea that she would be able to to go to home again. Because of you, and especially Francis. but all of you who make all the arrangements, handle the logistics, making sure that whatever is needed is seen to, because of you, Mother was able to spend her last 4 months in the nest that she loved so much, at home with her dear cat, looking out the windows at her lovely woods. I know that she was a handful! But Francis handled her with good humor and professionalism. He got to know her so well – her moods and her needs – and he took excellent care of her and of your home. He was respectful, but he was insistent on doing everything that had to be done, even when Mother resisted. Not an easy task, but he was more than up to it. Please accept our eternal and heartfelt thanks.

I want to tell you how wonderful Emmanuel was with my aunt and uncle. He is such a sweet and caring man. He loved my uncle and it showed and the feelings were mutual. He quickly became part of our family. I hope you and your agency realizes what a wonderful and dedicated worker you have in him. Thank you so much for placing him with my aunt and uncle. I personally appreciate how he treated and cared for them.

My Dad is currently under your care. He is turning 99 this week. We have Laura come in to sit with him twice a month. My Dad took to Laura immediately because of her genuine kindness and the caring she displays when attending to his needs. We have had several services over the years but nothing and no one can compare to the professional and, more importantly, personal care we receive from Laura and Anita’s Angels. Laura, knowing she would not see my Dad on his Birthday, took it upon herself to bring him a birthday balloon and bouquet of flowers. That touched my Dad’s heart and reassured us that we made the correct decision to bring Anita’s Angels on board. You should be elated to have Laura as a representative of your company. Her care and loving personality is a refreshing change in this fast and frantic paced time we live in. Thank you Laura and thanks to Anita’s Angels for the valuable service you provide.
